Lee Ritterband Returns from Australia
August 20, 2009
Dr. Lee Ritterband returned from Australia where he spent the summer (2009) as an International Visiting Fellow with the Australian Primary Health Care Research Institute (APHCRI) and the Center for Mental Health Research at the Australia National University. During his 2+ month visit, Dr. Ritterband met with colleagues and gave seminars and lectures around the country, including Canberra (link to news article on public lecture), Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Geraldton, and Beechworth. The primary purpose of the trip was to learn more about the various ehealth and Internet intervention programs in Australia as well as share ideas and develop collaborations. Already, we are working with the Combined Universities Centre for Rural Health and the DiabetesWA to examine the efficacy of an Australian version of BGATHome.
