Aly Curmaci earned her undergraduate and Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from UVA. She joined Behavioral Health and Technology in 2009 to manage the NIH-funded pediatric encopresis research project.
Previously, Aly interned at UVA’s Heart Center creating exercise programs for heart failure patients. Her graduate work focused on the effects of carbohydrate supplementation on blood lactate and perceived exertion during exhaustive exercise bouts. Aly is thrilled to be working for her alma mater. She’s excited to be part of Dr. Ritterband’s team providing tailored, interactive, and comprehensive treatment programs to patients over the Internet.
Aly played field hockey for the Cavs - and hence bleeds orange and blue. She enjoys living in Charlottesville and traveling with her family and friends.
