Asher joined Behavioral Health and Technology in 2012 to work on a collaborative project with the Center for Diabetes Technology, and later branched out to help build and maintain a variety of other programs. Asher graduated from the University of Virginia in May 2013 where he majored in psychology and minored in women, gender, and sexuality studies. In January 2014, Asher was hired as a Research Assistant with The T1D Exchange to work with their online program Glu (myglu.org), which is "a type 1 diabetes online community designed to accelerate research and amplify the collective voice of those living with T1D." His primary role will be performing data collection and assisting with surveys and studies based around the program's population.
